When someone says “I’m not going to lie,” it means that they are about to tell a truth that nobody asked to hear.

When someone says “I’m not going to lie,” it means that they are about to tell a truth that nobody asked to hear.
Either that, or he’s about to tell a really huge lie, and hopes that his statement will deflect attention from that fact.
